America, Enough is Eeeeeeeeeeeenough
I was just reading an article in the
Money and Markets newsletter entitled “
The Great American Nightmare“. At the end of the article, I felt like one of my friends, Wayne, who was conducting an choir rehearsal for a group of about 6 singers. One of his singers brought her young 5-year old son to rehearsal, who interrupted the rehearsal at every turn. He was throwing books, jumping on pews, all but swinging from the chandeliers. Knowing that Wayne hates interruptions during his rehearsals, his singers waited on edge as his patience wore thin. At the moment that Wayne’s patience grew to the size of a straw (…the final straw…), he stopped playing and cried out, “Eeeeeeeeeeeeeenough.” After setting the young man on the path of Straight and Narrow, he kindly returned to his keyboard and asked, “Now…where were we?”

America in 5,10, or 20 years?
When it comes to the state of our nation, “where are we” is a very pertinent question. Not knowing where we are and how we got in this present state (where we’ve come from) will make it impossible to choose the right path to take us into a better future.
After reading the Money and Markets article, I have had “Eeeeeeeeenough.”
- Enough deception and misinformation
- Enough problems swept under the rug
- Enough sitting back and not solving social problems
- Enough of excess and wasteful living
