Daddy’s Little Girl – Arianna Xydelyce Anderson is here!

I’ve been AWOL for 10 days, but with good reason.  After 15 hours of labor (Jamie is really a trooper) our daughter…or as I’ve said for the last 9 months…MY daughter has arrived. 

 

New addition to Anderson Family

Her name is Arianna Xydelyce (pronounced Ce-de-leece) Anderson.  She was born on June 16th, 2009 at 4:25 PM.  And coincidently, her maternal grandmother’s (affectionately known as “Mema”) birthday is on the same day.  What a present!

 

And she’s already daddy’s little girl.  Everyone told me that she would have me wrapped around her little finger.  I did not believe them.  But it is true.  Arianna is daddy’s ”little bean” and she arrived just in time for Father’s Day.

In four days, I have realized something very valuable.  Kids have a way of reflecting a parents behavior.  Ok, it may just be my daughter but I see my character reflected in her.  Good traits make me smile.  Bad traits make me want to develop my character in those areas.  That way I can model good behavior for her.
