Jonathan McCoy: Eliminate the N-Word!
Just this morning, my aunt informed me that someone in Richmond, Virginia spray painted a billboard of President Obama to look like the Joker from Batman. I started wondering “what would motivate someone to do that” when I came across an article about Jonathan McCoy. And given the previous news, hearing his powerful speech was a breath of fresh air.
Jonathan is an 11-year old honor roll student from Baltimore, pleading for the elimination of the n-word…not to mention the most articulate pre-teen I have ever heard. And listening to his pastor introduce him, I understand why. Click below to watch the video and experience Jonathan’s speech for yourself:

This was the best speech, i have every heard, it was educational, motivational and emotional. I cried at my desk, but before the end that moved me to cry. my mind began to race, a list of people in my mind i have to send this to. How can I get this to Oprah, President Obama, etc. This is something that has to be spreaded. this is a must. please promote this, like we promote shoes, clothes, food, etc. I am proud to be a black american. I am proud to be apart of the McCoy family and most of all, I am glad that we serve the same GOD, by which every man shall stand and every knee shall bow. I pray many blessings upon this young man and his family that has truly raised him well.
This video is spreading like wildfire across my Facebook and I am so so very proud of Johnathan. He is a blessing!!

But….voluntarily just as the “F” word needs to be eliminated voluntarily!
thank you, Jonathan. We can’t expect white folk to stop using it when we won’t stop using it ourselves. I won’t buy any music that says “ho”, “n-word”,killing folks, & other derogatory terms. Good artists don’t need to add the negative words.
